Performed by 2 people with 1 baton each. The incorporation of acrobatic/gymnastic movements adapted to baton twirling may be added to create additional elements of risk and excitement. Athlete may enter two Pair / Duet if in a different levels or age division with another partner as long as they are not competing against themself. Two athletes performing at one time simultaneously, mirror image or feature moves with one another while employing an innovative routine. Routine involving vertical and horizontal patterns, right and left hand dexterity which is adjudicated for its variety and difficulty of aerials, rolls, contact material, etc, with speed, flexibility, control, smoothness of baton, gracefulness of body movements. Exchanges, pair work, precision, unison, technique, staging, showmanship with artistic expression, and combinations moves stationary or with movement, uniquely designed for pair/duet are major components. Timing begins at Salute or Pose and ends with Salute or Pose. |

There are three age groups: 10-12 Pre-Teen, (stand alone, no finals) 13-15 Junior, 16+ Senior. The Top 5 finalists in each group will be awarded.
